Causes of the disaster

As a result of the fact that the plane simultaneously deviated from the landing course and went below the glide path , when landing at the airport of the city of Belgrade, it collided with Mount Avala 180 meters from its top and exploded.

The Dead

As a result of the disaster, 18 people died (according to other sources 33 [2] ), including 7 members of the delegation and 16 crew members ( 11 are listed on the memorial plaque ):
