Maximin from Provence
Maximinus (died in the 1st century ) - the holy Bishop of Aix-en-Provence . Memorial Day - June 8th .
St. Maximinus, the first bishop of Aix-en-Provence, was considered by some to be one of the 72 disciples of Christ. According to the legend of the Western Church , an economy of a family from Bethany , he accompanied Mary Magdalene , Mary Kleopova , Martha and Lazarus to Gaul of Saints. Together with Mary Magdalene before her removal in Saint-Bom they preached together in Aix-en-Provence . It is considered the first builder of the Aix Cathedral .
According to one of the sources, sv. Maximin is called "a man blind from birth."
