Economics

Ulus has deposits of gold , silver , tin , tungsten , lead , zinc , antimony . In the 1990s, mining in the ulus fell into decay. However, in recent years there has been a rise in the gold mining industry, active work is underway to develop antimony industry, and the extraction of other minerals.

The basis of agriculture of the ulus is horse breeding and reindeer husbandry .

Transport

The federal highway " Kolyma " runs through the territory of the ulus. In 2008, the last gap on the highway was closed, and the residents of the ulus got the opportunity of year-round travel to the capital of the republic - Yakutsk . However, land communication with the city of Yakutsk is absent during ice formation (autumn) and ice drift (spring), since there is no crossing over the Aldan and Lena rivers.

There is an airport in Ust-Ner.
