General Description

“Belorusskaya Vredechko” has been aired since November 26, 2006 , after the LAD television channel purchased the rights to produce Vremechko in Belarus from the Russian television company ATV [2] . Leading the Belarusian program was taught by colleagues from Moscow and, according to chief editor Sasha Snegina, their instructions still let new correspondents memorize [1] .

At first, the form of the Belarusian program, repeating the Russian analogue, aroused criticism from the audience [3] , but later on the project in the format of “national news” gained popularity. Despite this, it turned out to be prohibitively expensive for LAD, and by 2009 the question arose of its closure [4] . Nevertheless, thanks to the support of the Belteleradiocompany, the program did not fall out of the channel’s broadcasting grid, which later changed its name to “ Belarus 2 ” [5] .

The main purpose of the program is to help viewers in solving the most difficult situations and by joint efforts find answers to pressing life questions. The format of the program is a discussion of a single topic (for the entire issue) with the participation of leading and invited guests in the studio. Program participants also answer questions posed by live viewers [2] . A lawyer participates in the programs, giving advice to viewers also live [6] . In the “Express-News” weekly, “Belarusian Time” is called the “popular program” and “the most watchable product” of Belarusian television, the popularity of which is evidenced by numerous live calls [7] .

Since January 13, 2014, Belorusskaya Vremyochka has been on the air of the Belarus 1 television channel, where it has been transferred to the daily broadcasting network. The composition of the leaders during the transition from channel to channel was preserved [6] .
