Biography
Born and started volleyball in Leningrad . Until 1976, she played for the Spartak team ( Leningrad ). In 1971, as part of the Leningrad national team, she won silver medals of the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR . In 1976 she married the famous Soviet basketball player Vladimir Zhigiliy and moved to Moscow [2] . In 1977-1983 she played for Dynamo Moscow , in which she became a two - time champion of the USSR and two-time winner of the Allied Championships, as well as the owner of the USSR Cup and European Champions Cup .
In 1971 and 1973, as part of the youth team of the USSR, she became the European champion .
In the national team of the USSR , she competed in official competitions in 1972-1978.
