Creation History
- 1990 - on the request of Krivoy Rog , the development of a tram car for high-speed lines with underground sections began. The basis was taken from the body of the base model 71-608 [1] .
- 1992 - two prototypes of the 71-611 car were produced, sent further for testing the Volgograd city ββlight rail. Tests revealed a low reliability of the static converter, as well as insufficient acceleration and deceleration. The electric equipment of the car was made on the basis of the standard RCSU, and the conditions of movement on the lines of the light rail required different characteristics than the cars for conventional lines. At the end of the tests, the cars were transferred to the depot No. 2 of the city of Volgograd, where they blocked the doors on the left side, and accumulative platforms were mounted over niches with steps. Until the end of the 1990s, wagons were operated by train on a multi-unit system on route No. 2. In 2005, experimental wagons were transferred to the city of Volzhsky , where they are currently operated by single wagons [1] .
- 1993 - two 71.611 railcars were built for the Krivoy Rog light rail . Based on the results of testing these cars, the technical task was sent to the plant to develop an intermediate cabinless active trailed car, which received the factory designation 71-611P [1] .
- 1993 - for Krivoy Rog a three-car train was built, consisting of two head and one trailer car. Unlike previous cars, in the cabin of each car, at the second door on the port side, a box with electrical equipment was mounted, in which the contactors of the control system and BPN were placed. Active trailers, in addition to the lack of a cabin, were also not equipped with signal lights, since it was understood that they would work as part of the train with internal cars. The electric equipment of the wagons ensured the operation of four-wagon trains according to a system of many units , and in addition to the main console, a signaling unit for the aggregates of all wagons of the train was mounted in the cab, a similar solution was later applied to serial UKVZ wagons [1] .
- 1993-1994 - built on one three-car train for Krivoy Rog. A feature of these cars was the doors, the lower guide of which was made according to the type of cars 71-608KM, adding to its guide under the windows, while maintaining the chain drive. Instead of closed bulwarks, wide cuts were made in the area of ββthe trolleys, and a pronounced kink of planes appeared on the cab, which is typical for 71-608KM 1994-1995 rail cars. In electrical equipment, the changes were also borrowed from serial wagons of UKVZ. In total, in 1992-1995, 13 wagons of the 71-611 series were produced [1] .
- In 2000, on the order of Krivoy Rog, another 71-car train was built, 71-611, which was largely unified with serial cars of this period, but due to the difficult financial situation, the train stood at the plant for several years, after which it was dismantled [1] .
Carriage Design
The tram is a four-axle wagon with a control cabin and exits on both sides, capable of operating in a multi-unit system with a similar wagon coupled in the opposite direction. For the new wagon, we used a design project prepared for updating wagons of the 608th family. The new cabin has received a new driver Wagon carts were closed with bulwarks with longitudinal slots; for convenience of service, the middle parts of the bulwarks were made folding. Entrance doors were made on both sides, while the second door in the direction of travel was carried out only on the left side, and the third only on the right. Thus, storage areas were organized opposite the wide doors, and boxes with electrical equipment were placed under the car. On the roof, as experienced 71-608 , placed a box with a static converter BPN-5. In the cabin, 37 passenger seats were made with backs to the windows like a subway . In addition to the two traditional rows of handrails, a third row of handrails without uprights was mounted in the center of the ceiling [1] .
Kryvyi Rih cars, manufactured since 1993 , were equipped with frontal spotlights above the driverβs cab, additional light signals on the sides of the cab, which worked as taillights at the second carriage in the train. Due to the low suspension of the contact network in the tunnel, the static converter was moved under the floor. The wall between the driverβs cab and the passenger compartment and the door to the cab were made without windows [1] .
Modifications
- 71-611 (G) - head carriage 71-611
- 71-611P - intermediate cabinless active trailed car
