Krymov, Dmitry Anatolyevich

Dmitry Anatolyevich Krymov (born October 10, 1954 , Moscow ) is a Russian artist , stage designer , theater director and teacher . Member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation.

Biography

Born in the family of Anatoly Efros and Natalya Krymova . In 1976 he graduated from the production department of the Moscow Art Theater School .

Since 1976, he began working at the Malaya Bronnaya Theater . He created scenography for the productions of A. V. Efros “Othello” by W. Shakespeare (thesis), “A Month in the Village” by I. Turgenev , “Summer and Smoke” by T. Williams , “Recollection” by A. Arbuzov , “Napoleon First” F. Bruckner , “Theater Director" I. Dvoretsky . He also designed the performances of A. V. Efros “Tartuffe” ( Moliere ) and “The Living Corpse” by L. Tolstoy on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater .

Since 1985, Krymov has been the production designer of the Taganka Theater , where he has produced the performances “ The War Does Not Have a Female Face ” S. Aleksievich , “ One and a Half Square Meters ” based on the novel by B. Mozhaev and “Misanthrope” by Moliere.

In the early 90s, Dmitry Krymov left the theater and took up easel art: painting, graphics, installation.

Since 2002, Dmitry Krymov has been teaching at the Russian Academy of Theater Arts [1] , where he teaches theater artists and runs the creative laboratory at the School of Dramatic Art theater [2] .

In 2010-2011, Dmitry Krymov successfully collaborated with Russian ballet star Mikhail Baryshnikov [3] .

Dmitry Krymov leaves the theater "School of Dramatic Art", but will stay there before October 31, 2018 [4] .

  • Crystal Turandot Award (2007) for directing the play Demon. Top view ”based on the poem by M. Lermontov [7] .
