Ammyy Admin is a remote access and administration system developed by Ammyy Group that allows you to quickly and securely gain remote access via the Internet to a computer or server and manage them in real time. Using Ammyy Admin, you can control the keyboard and mouse , launch programs, transfer files, communicate with a partner using voice communication, etc. For non-commercial use, there is a limit of 15 hours per month of the remote connection [1] .

Ammyy Admin works through NAT and does not require external IP addresses, installing additional software and setting up port forwarding. All transmitted data is encrypted using the Advanced Encryption Standard AES-256 + RSA hybrid algorithm with different keys for each session. The application is transparent to all known firewalls. Works through HTTPs Proxy.
Ammyy Admin is fully compatible with VNC , Terminal Server and other remote access programs.

Ammyy Admin has the following security features:
- All data is encrypted using AES-256 + RSA hybrid encryption algorithm (only AES-256 by default), using different keys for each session.
- Ports on the local and remote computer do not open.
Virus versions of the program
The official version of the program downloaded from the manufacturer’s site from February 2016 (possibly from an earlier time) to July of the same year contained the Lurk Trojan program (or rather, it contained a dropper program that already installed this Trojan on the victim’s computer) there as a result of a successful cyber attack on the developer's site [2] . After June 1, 2016, the installer contained a different virus. This means that ammyy.com has been under the control of intruders all this time.
Due to such cases and the non-operational work of technical support for the removal and control of content, this software falls under the restriction of antivirus programs and is also included in the black lists of some browsers, which at the moment are already beginning to control certain resources for access. This does not mean that it is impossible to download from these browsers, but since it causes inconvenience, they decided to warn about this on the manufacturer’s website, and not to coordinate these issues.
Do not forget that almost all such programs have repeatedly been the victims of intruders and most often the victims were those who did not follow the simplest rules of precaution:
- Never download similar programs from unverified sources.
- Try to check that they do not work as a service unnecessarily, and the lists of trusted proxies were also strictly limited or empty.
- To put under the control (the same antiviruses), and at any unplanned change to reveal the reason for the change.
Disadvantages
- Antivirus software triggers (with the default antivirus settings) [1] .
- The lack of accurate recognition of the downloaded file by hash sum .
- Difficulties when downloading from some browsers.
