Carriacou [1] ( born Carriacou ) is an island in the Grenadines archipelago ( Lesser Antilles ), located in the southeastern Caribbean Sea , northeast of Grenada . Included in the special territory of Carriacou and Small Martinique of the State of Grenada .

The largest island of the Grenadines archipelago. Area 34 km². The climate is tropical , trade winds , average monthly temperatures are about 25 ° С. The island is surrounded by reefs .
Population
6081 people live on the island (2001). Hillsboro is the largest city on Carriacou.
