Geography
Location
30 km northwest of Rechitsa and the railway station in this city, 80 km from Gomel .
Transportation System
Transport links along a country road and then along the Svetlogorsk -Rechitsa highway .
The village has 15 residential buildings ( 2004 ). The layout consists of a straight street oriented from the southeast to northwest. Building with wooden houses.
Water system
On the outskirts of the village is the Krapivinka River (a tributary of the Berezina ).
History
The village was founded in the 2nd half of the 19th century in the Gorvala volost of the Rechitsa district of the Minsk province . In 1885 she was a farm. It contained a distillery and a windmill. It was part of the estate of Gorval and belonged to R.F. Mengden.
From December 8, 1926 until 1935 it was the center of the Balashevsky village council. A school and a reading room functioned in the village. In 1930, a collective farm was organized. There was a forge . During the Great Patriotic War in the village was the base of the partisan detachment “For the Motherland”. On the fronts killed 30 villagers. In June 1943, the invaders completely burned the village and killed 11 local residents. In 1959, the village was part of the Komsomolets state farm with a center in the village of Komsomolsk .
