Zilog Z180

Zilog Z180 is an 8-bit processor developed and manufactured by Zilog . It is the successor to the Zilog Z80 microprocessor. Most of the software developed for the Z80 could be used with the Z180. The Z180 processor family has brought great performance and a large number of built-in functions, such as a frequency generator, 16-bit counters / timers, interrupt controller, serial ports and a DMA controller. An integrated memory management module ( MMU ) had the ability to address 1 MB of memory. This allowed the Z180 to be configured for use in the same way as the Hitachi HD64180 microprocessor.
