Biography

Pupil of the Kharkov children's team "Diana". He played for the Kharkov teams: “Sailor”, “Janus”, OLS, “Sturm”, “Rabis”, “ Dynamo ”. He became the champion of Kharkov and Ukraine, in 1924 he became the champion of the USSR , and in 1928 the silver medalist. In 1928 and 1930 he entered the list of 33 best football players of the USSR .

November 16, 1924 played his only official match for the USSR national team against Turkey (3-0), Shpakovsky scored in that match. Spent 12 unofficial matches for the USSR national team and scored 3 goals.

In 1935 he headed the Dynamo Kharkov, in which he worked for one year.

In addition to football, Shpakovsky became the champion of Kharkov in tennis, and in 1928 he became the silver medalist of the USSR championship in ball hockey . Also involved in handball and athletics.

A doctor by education, he worked at the Institute of Orthopedics in Kharkov.

On March 14, 1938, the NKVD was arrested as a member of the White Guard organization. June 9, 1938 was shot, buried in Kharkov. May 23, 1958 was rehabilitated. According to other sources, he died in 1942 in a camp in the Khabarovsk Territory , due to a false accusation.
