History

The avenue was named on April 14, 1975 in connection with the thirtieth anniversary of the Victory and in order to perpetuate the memory of Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov . Rename History:

  • Marshal Zhukov Ave. (from 04/14/1975)
  • Tallinn highway (01/16/1964 - 04/14/1975)
  • Borisovsky per. (1901 - 04/14/1975) [1]
  • Krasnoselskoye Highway (end of the 19th century - January 16, 1964)

Until 1975, there were two driveways on this site. One is Borisovsky Lane (named after 1901 after the name of the landlord N. I. Borisov), from the Peterhof Highway (Stachek Ave.) to the left. 12/12/1962, part of the alley from Stachek Ave. to Kronshtadtskaya St. became part of the street Anti-aircraft gunners. Another passage is part of the Tallinn Highway from Stachek Ave. to People's Militia Ave. Part of the Tallinn highway in Staro-Panov has remained so far. [2]
