Buzachi ( Buzashi ; Kaz. Bozashchi ) - a peninsula in the north-eastern part of the Caspian Sea , in the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan . The prevailing relief height is from −5 to −25 m abs., The highest height is 61 m.

The natural zone is the desert . In the south, the surface of the hill is covered in some places with sandy and bumpy sands. In the north, large areas of salt marshes . In the south, mountains of the Mangyshlak peninsula adjoin the peninsula . The average January temperature is −7 ° C, July 26 ° C. Atmospheric precipitation falls 200-250 mm per year. About 40 days a year strong winds blow (speed over 15 m / s). In connection with the decrease in the level of the Caspian in the 1980-1990s, the area of the peninsula increased significantly, then began to decrease again.
