Still Alive: The Remixes is a remix album that includes the original and various remixes of the song “Still Alive” ( Russian is still alive ), Swedish pop-rock singer Lisa Miskowski , released by Artwerk on November 11, 2008 , along with the North American release date for the action-adventure computer game Mirror's Edge , which was developed by the Swedish company EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) and in which the song “Still Alive” is the central theme of the music. The album “Still Alive: The Remixes” and its main composition are in no way associated with the song “Still Alive”, which is the main musical composition of the 2007 Portal game. [one]

The song "Still Alive" was conceived, created and recorded exclusively for Mirror's Edge . In 2007, the developer of this game, EA Digital Illusions CE, invited the famous composers Arnthor Birgisson ( Eng. Arnthor Birgisson ) and Rami Yacoub ( Eng. Rami Yacoub ) from Maratone Studios, who previously wrote music for Enrique Iglesias , Britney Spears , Pink , Shane Ward , Westlife and others, write the main theme song for Mirror's Edge. At the same time, from the materials on the game, the composers received only a brief description of the plot and several concept art. The work of the composers was supervised by DICE sound engineer Magnus Walterstad ( English Magnus Walterstad ). After the music for the song was written, the search for suitable vocals began, as a result, the choice fell on the Swedish pop-rock singer Lisa Miskowski . [2] [3]
The song and several of its remixes were shown on several preliminary demos of the game, first appearing in a teaser trailer released on May 6, 2008. [4] In November 2008, a music video was recorded for the song “Still Alive,” performed by Miskowski. The video was shot by Matthew Stawski in Los Angeles, California. [five]
Critics' ratings
The album "Still Alive: The Remixes" received some favorable reviews. When reviewing the album for IGN , Spence Abbott praised several remixes, saying that each remixer “left his own unique stamp on the material, improving it as he saw fit.” However, he also points out that all the remixes in one way or another, but remake a single song. Chart Rating
A week after the release of Still Alive: The Remixes, his main song hit the Swedish national hit singles parade Sverigetopplistan . She reached 29th place and remained on the chart for three weeks. [7]
