Icarus and the sages

In ancient society, life flows calmly and slowly. Everyone has already found their place in life. People devote leisure time to philosophical conversations - about the meaning of life and more. But among them lives an eccentric - Icarus , who is trying to bring to life the crazy, from the point of view of a progressive ancient society, idea: to learn to fly like birds.

All his attempts end in a fall from heaven to earth. For each such fall, another sage gives out an undeniable truth, for example, “ Quod licet Jovi, non licet bovi ” (“What is allowed to Jupiter , is not allowed to a bull”). Such sayings turn into granite monuments and fall on the head of Icarus. But once a miracle happens, and Icarus soars up to heaven. The flight of Icarus is accompanied by the music of Sandor Callos . This leads the society of sages into a commotion, but they publish so many words that they form in formidable clouds and destroy Icarus.

After a while, the sages equip their chambers around the monument dedicated to the death of Icarus, where they educate students on their truths, which state limitations. But one student fights off the group and creates his wings, becoming the ideological successor to Icarus.

• The third sage pronounces the phrase Festina lente (“Slow down, you will continue to be”), but when he comes to the place where the stone slabs with the words carved on them are located, he and his students are next to the stove on which Quo altior gradus tanto is written profundior casus (“The higher you go, the deeper you fall”).
• Icarus flies not only parallel to the screen, but also into the depths, the clouds from which his monument is formed are approaching parallel to the screen, and he cannot slip away from them, although before that he flew deep into the screen.
