At four, Alexander introduced his chess to his father. Grandfather accompanied him to tournaments. At first he trained with A.I. Litovsky , later with A.T. Terentyev . Coached by S.Karyakin for some time
He won the championships of Russia in the categories of 16 and 18 years.
