Biography

He was born on July 5, 1911 in Fastov, at that time the village of the Kiev province as part of the Russian Empire. He spent his childhood and youth in Kiev, where he graduated from the 4th grade of a secondary school, then he entered the school-factory No. 3 in Kiev for training in plumbing. In the fall of 1930, he was a fourth-year student at the industrial school at the evening industrial institute, combining work as a mechanic at the Krasny Plowman factory and training. On December 31, 1931, he was enrolled as a student at the Workers' Faculty at the Kiev Institute of Cinematography and, upon completion of the training course in February 1936, received the specialty of newsreel operator. [1] The operator of the Ukrkinochronik studios in Kharkov and Kiev from 1932 to 1941, with a break for service in the ranks of the Red Army in 1936-1937. He served in the city of Zhitomir in a connected battalion. Demobilized as commander of a communications platoon. In June 1939, the operator was transferred to the newsreel correspondent office in the city of Stalin (now Donetsk ). In the spring of 1941 he was sent to the Novosibirsk film studio, where he worked before the start of World War II , in which he took part in the 31st Army, the guard lieutenant. He was wounded twice, as a result of a second severe wound on March 29, 1942 he became an invalid of the Great Patriotic War. Initially, the treatment after the wound was in a hospital in Achinsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory . Subsequently, he was treated in Stalinabad (now Dushanbe , Tajikistan ), where he worked as a military instructor in high school, and in March 1943 was appointed lecturer in the department of military disciplines at the Tajik Medical Institute , but was relieved of his post on March 18, 1944 due to health conditions. In 1951-1952 worked at the Frunze newsreel studio, at the Ashgabat studio of feature and documentary films in 1953-1954. Cameraman of the Kuibyshev newsreel studio in Ufa (1954-1956). From 1956 to 1959 he worked at the Sverdlovsk film studio . In 1959-1970, before retiring, cameraman of the Kuibyshev newsreel studio in Penza . In 1977 he returned to Kiev, where he lived until his death in 1994. He was buried in Penza at the New-West cemetery. [one]
