Salavat Mullakhanovich Shaikhinurov (born April 20, 1970 , Neftekamsk BASSR , RSFSR , USSR [1] ) is a Russian animator , designer, production designer of the animated series Smeshariki and art director of the Smeshariki project .

In 2003, he painted twelve funny round characters , nine of whom turned into smeshariki - the most popular and recognizable domestic cartoon heroes.
Member of the Union of Designers of Russia (2008), member of the Union of Artists of Russia (2009). Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of literature and art (2008)

In an interview, he admitted: "Sometimes I feel like Nyusha." [2]
