The model is based on the 1999 prototype Concept-A [1] .
The serial production of the car was launched in August 2000. The car was built in Gliwice , Poland on the Suzuki Wagon R + platform. Like all Opels, Agila was produced in the UK as a Vauxhall. By class, the car is ranked among city cars, but in its large dimensions it is more like a compact van .
There is also a version of Njoy. It differs in that it is painted in two colors. She also removed the side windows of the trunk.
In August 2003, Agila received a chrome grille.

The car was first introduced in 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Sales started in April 2008. Like the previous model, Agila B was created in cooperation with Suzuki . The car was produced in Esztergom , Hungary .
The car has become 20 cm longer, 6 cm wider and 7 cm lower than its predecessor. Trunk volume is 225 liters (you can put a stroller), but if you fold the rear seats, the volume increases to 1050 liters.
Security
Agila has ABS as standard. There are front and side airbags. More expensive trim levels also have an ESC .
