As part of the main national team of the Kingdom of the CXS, he made his debut on October 28, 1921 in a friendly match in Prague with the Czechoslovakian team , in which Branko scored his first goal for the national team, however, his team lost 1: 6. The last time he played for the national team was on June 10, 1923 in a friendly match with the Romanian national team in Bucharest , moreover, his elder brother Dusan also participated in this match, which went down in history as the first time that he was on the field as part of the national team of Yugoslavia (Kingdom of CXC) two brothers played at the same time.
