Kirilyuk, Victor Vasilievich

Viktor Vasilyevich Kirilyuk (April 2, 1923, the village of Bolshoi Turai [1] [2] [3] of the Pritykinskoy volost of the Ohan district of the Perm province; now does not exist - September 27, 1988) - a fighter pilot who became the youngest at the age of 22 an ace fighter with more than 30 official victories in the air.

Biography

He graduated from 9 classes in the Ural city of Talitsa and flying club. Since 1941 in the Red Army . He graduated from the Bataille Military Aviation School of Pilots (1942).

Since January 1943, he served in the 164th Fighter Aviation Regiment of the 295th Fighter Aviation Division , in which such aces fighters as Sultan-Galiev, A. Volodin, I. Novikov served. Later N. Krasnov took him to his separate squadron of "hunters." Since the end of 1944, after the squadron was disbanded, Kirilyuk fought in the regiment of G. Onufrienko .

Kiriluk spent his first sorties on LaGG-3 in January 1943 at the age of 18. He fought in the North Caucasus, over the Dnieper, liberated Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Austria.

On August 11, 1943, over the Seversky Donets, the La-5 six, led by Kirilyuk, attacked a large group of enemy bombers, mixed enemy orders and shot down several cars. His plane was heavily damaged - the rudder of depth and aileron were broken. Leaving the fray and landing at his nearby aerodrome, he again took off in another combat ready vehicle and shot down another Yu-87 .

Three times in air battles Kirilyuk won double victories and once triple. He spent his last sorties over Vienna.

He ended the war as a senior lieutenant, deputy squadron commander of the 31st IAP . During the war spent 620 sorties, of which 600 on La-5 , in 32 air battles won 32 personal and 9 group victories. Among the personally shot down: Yu-88 , Do-217 , Yu-52 , 5 Yu-87 , 18 Me-109 , 5 Fw-190 , Khsh-126 . According to M. Yu. Bykov, 29 personal and 1 group victories of the ace were confirmed [4]

After the war he served in the Air Force . He flew on jet engines. He graduated from the Higher Air Force Officer Courses in Lipetsk (1949). In 1958, he was transferred to the reserve at the age of 35 with the rank of lieutenant colonel . Talice lived and worked.
