History
The first information about the village of Derevyannoe dates back to the 17th century - in the scribal book of the Zaonezhsky half of the Oonezhskaya Pyatina for 1582-1583, the village Derevyannoye on Onego Lake is listed. According to the legend, earlier on this place there existed a settlement called the Wood Exhibition, which separated from the Shuisky Pogost.
The church in Derevyanny was consecrated in 1683 in the name of St. Nicholas (on November 20, 1935, by a decree of the Karelian Central Election Commission, the church was closed [2] and has not survived to this day). There was a Church of the Intercession in the village of Uzheselga .
In the 19th century, peasants, mostly Russians, lived in the village. The main occupation was farming and migratory trades in St. Petersburg - mainly, in Wood lived masters in glass insertion.
The school was opened in 1879 (before that there was a parochial school) [3] .
In Soviet times, in the Derevyannyi, from the 1930s, the timber industry enterprise, the Zarya collective farm, was transformed into the Mayak state farm branch in the 1940s [4] .
In 1941 it was captured by the Finnish invaders, on June 28, 1944, freed during the landing operation of the Onega military flotilla [5] .
