Shuya Chupa ( Fin. Suojun Tsupa ) is a village in the Prionezhsky district of the Republic of Karelia , administratively part of the Shuya rural settlement . Known for the nearby former official residence of the highest officials of Russia .

General Information

The village is located on the southern shore of Lake Konchezero , 20 km from Petrozavodsk , on the road Petrozavodsk- Marcial Waters .

In the early 2010s, the chapel of Xenia of Petersburg was built. [2]

Former official residence "Shuyskaya Chupa"

Located a kilometer from the village, on the northeast shore of Lake Ukshesero . The total area of ​​the residence is about 50 hectares [6] .

In Soviet times , in the neighborhood of the dacha village of the KPSK Regional Committee of the CPSU , a hotel complex was built for the rest of the highest party and economic nomenclature . Alexey Kosygin , Nikolai Tikhonov , Yuri Andropov , Urho Kekkonen , Boris Yeltsin , Vladimir Putin rested here at various times [7] .
