General information

The village is located 14 km northwest of Petrozavodsk on the Kola motorway.

There is a school, a kindergarten, an outpatient clinic, and a library in the village.

There is a church in the name of St. Seraphim of Sarov. [2]

History

In 1947, the land reclamation and construction organization Sovkhozmeliovodstroy was formed on the site of the current village, then in 1953 the Petrozavodsk machine and land reclamation station was established. In the 1960s, the village was called Tomitsy .
