Derevyanka ( fin. Uusikylä , livv. Uuzikylä ) is a village in the Prionezhsky region of the Republic of Karelia , the administrative center of Derevianky rural settlement .

General Information
It is located on the bank of the Derevjanka River, 36 km south along the highway from Petrozavodsk .
The settlement was formed in 1913-1914 as a railway siding during the construction of the Olonets railway . From 1951 to 1991 he had the status of an urban-type settlement .
The village has a cultural center, a liaison office, an emergency room [2] , a school (built in 1955, completed in 1966) [3] , and shops. By 2020, a new school with 200 seats will be built, on February 8, the school project was approved by the residents of the village [4] , construction began in June of this year [5] . The new school will be designed for high school students; at the time of construction, students in grades 1–4 will study in another building until they are, and students in grades 5–10 will be in a school in the village of Derevyanny of the same area [4] . Before that, in 2014, the authorities were going to build a new building at the expense of the republican program, but the money was not allocated, and the ready-made design and estimate documentation was outdated by February 2015 [6] .
The common grave of the Soviet soldiers who died in the years of the Soviet-Finnish war (1941-1944) remains.
