The rigging board ( English Rigging plate , rigging plate , rigging plate , rigging drive , multi- connector ) is an element of climbing equipment to create several insurance points when organizing complex rope systems or a comfortable working space at one station [1] .
It is a plate of (usually) aluminum alloy with central and spaced holes for fastening safety devices . Different variations of the device differ in the shape, number and diameter of the holes, as well as withstand load. Usually it has either a round or a triangle with rounded corners, in one of the peaks of which there is a hole for attachment to the point of safety (station), and along the opposite side of the hole for hanging equipment.
Most often used in rescue operations, as well as in industrial mountaineering . Less often in sports mountaineering on difficult technical ascents.
