Biography
Zivko Chingo was born on August 13, 1939 in the village of Velgoshchi, near the city of Ohrid . He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of Skopsky University. Some time after graduation, he worked as a literature teacher at the Ohrid gymnasium. In Skopje, he worked in many magazines and on Radio Television of the city of Skopje , as well as in the Republican Committee of Culture and in the center for political research in Skopje . He was the director of the Macedonian National Theater ( Macedonian Macedonian National Theater), was a member of the Commonwealth of Writers of Macedonia . He died in the city of Ohrid on August 11, 1987 .
Creativity
Zivko Chingo was part of those Macedonian writers who designed the Macedonian literature of the post-war period. In his works, the most famous of which is the novel "Big Water" ( Macedonian Γolemata Voda ) of 1971 , Chingo describes the life of the Macedonian villages of the First World War and the post-war period with its rich and vibrant language. Chingo's works attracted the attention of the public, and his literary talent was widely appreciated by Macedonian and Yugoslav critics. His works have been translated into many languages - Serbo-Croatian , Slovenian , Albanian , Polish , French , Hungarian , German , Russian and English . His novel "Big Water" was filmed in 2004 in Macedonia .
