Dominic Leven ( born Dominic Lieven ) (born 1952) is a British historian of the Levenen clan, an expert on the history of Russia . Anatol Lieven's older brother.

Biography
In 1973 he graduated from Cambridge University , the first in his graduation. He later received a Kennedy scholarship at Harvard , and after defending his doctoral dissertation, he became a lecturer at the London School of Economics, Department of Public Administration, where he currently holds the position of professor of Russian public administration. He is a member of the British Academy .
He was also invited to lecture at Tokyo and Harvard Universities, was a fellow of the them. Humboldt in Göttingen and Munich. Lieven is an expert on the comparative history of empires , problems of political stability on the periphery of Europe in the years 1860-1939, and Russia's participation in the Napoleonic wars .
In 2013, by the Decree of the President of Russia, he was awarded the Order of Friendship [3] .
October 16, 2018 Dominique Lieven became the winner of the Valdai International Discussion Club award [4] .
