Content
History
Oi Polloi was founded by Derek Allen and his school mates. The name given to the group and one of its first albums, Unite and Win (Punks and Skins), indicates that the musicians considered themselves anarcho-skinheads , although they never called themselves a “group for skinheads ”. The first studio recording of Destroi the System appeared in 1984 and was praised by Sounds magazine. Almost immediately after Destroi the System , the musicians recorded another demo called Green Anarchoi and in 1986 released their first vinyl album Resist the Atomic Menace . The composition of Oi Polloi has repeatedly changed. At the moment, the only member who stood at the origins of the founding of the group is Derek Allen. Oi Polloi members are members of Earth First! . The group is known for its radical views and strongly opposes racism , sexism , fascism , imperialism and other forms of discrimination .
