Biography
Born on June 22, 1926 in the town of Yenakiyevo, Donetsk Region of Ukraine. Ukrainian .
In 1932, the family moved to the city of Kharkov .
- 1947 - the beginning of work at the Kharkov Tractor Plant (HTZ, now - PJSC "Kharkiv Tractor Plant named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze") - engineer-technologist, deputy head of the workshop, head of the technological department;
- 1957 - 1962 : Chief Technologist of the XTZ;
- 1962–1969: chief engineer of the KhTW;
- 1969— 1996 : Director of the HTZ. [one]
The library has done a lot for the production of engines, fuel equipment and hydraulic systems of many types of tractors, including the T-74 and T-150. Under his leadership, the reconstruction and technical re-equipment of the plant was carried out, new production and residential buildings were built, new automated lines and robotic complexes were introduced.
He was elected people's deputy of local councils and the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR of 10-11 convocations.
He lived in Kharkov. He died on June 6, 2009 . He was buried in Kharkov on the central alley of the 4th city cemetery. [2]
Awards and titles
- By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 10, 1981, the library of Valentin Vasilyevich was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the gold medal "Hammer and Sickle".
- He was awarded two Orders of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, two Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, the Ukrainian Order of Merit, 3rd degree, and medals.
- Winner of the USSR State Prize.
- Honored Machine Builder of the Ukrainian SSR. [one]
- Honorary Citizen of Kharkov ( 1999 ).
