The Himalayan Ular [1] , or the Dark-bellied Ular [1] , or the Himalayan Mountain Turkey [1] ( lat. Tetraogallus himalayensis ) is a pheasant bird.

Content
DescriptionThe weight of the male is about 3 kg. The plumage of the male and the female is similar - clay-gray with small black spots, the sides and neck are covered with chestnut stripes.
HabitatsIt lives in meadows in the subalpine and alpine zones of the mountains, spends the night in the rocks.
With strong vegetation cover with snow, it migrates to heights of 1,500-2,000 m.
ReproductionMonogamy . Nests are made on the ground. In clutch usually 5-6 eggs. Hatching lasts about 30 days.
NutritionHerbivorous . Mostly feed on shoots , buds , flowers , seeds and bulbs . Chicks also feed on insects .
