Arriving at the Karelian Front on June 3, 1942, the division entered the 32nd Army and was tasked with guarding the Kirov Railway in the sections Maselskaya - Kochkoma, the bridge at Segezha Station and the Segezha Paper Mill. The division’s location is determined to be Segezha station.

On August 31, armored trains repelled a raid of seven enemy aircraft at the station and the adjacent airfield.

On September 14, 1942, the division received a combat mission - to support with fire part of the 37th Rifle Division performing a private offensive operation. Having scouted the targets and firing positions, in the morning of September 15 both armored trains launched two firing raids on the enemy’s positions, while suppressing two artillery batteries.

On the basis of the order of the head of the GBTU RKKA No. 1109420 dated December 5, 1942, the armored trains received new numbers: No. 1 “Siberian Barbara” - No. 639, and No. 2 “Omsk Railway Worker” - No. 657. [3]

On February 19, the attack of four enemy aircraft at Segezha station was repulsed.

On the basis of the order of the commander of the armored and mechanized troops of the Karelian Front, from February 22 to May 15, 1943, the division’s armored trains were re-equipped and repaired at the Uroch car-repair plant of the Yaroslavl Railway. Here, 75-mm French guns were replaced by 76-mm tank F-34s, PTK devices were installed, an additional third axis was brought up on all armored platforms for spring unloading. Armored train teams actively participated in the work.

In November 1943, the division’s armored trains participated in tactical exercises, receiving high marks.

On March 16, 1944, the Beppo of the 47th Detachment Detachment was supported by units of the 176th Rifle Division, conducting reconnaissance in battle. The fire of armored trains suppressed the batteries of 75 and 155-mm guns.

On June 19-21, 1944, the 47th division supported the reconnaissance of the 55th Rifle Regiment with fire, and then the advance of the 176th Rifle Division in the Maselsky direction. [3]

As the units of the 32nd Army advanced, the 47th ODBP was given the task of moving forward, guarding the rear and repairing the railway. In total, from June 22 to August 5, 1944, the division personnel restored about 3 km of the railway track, 15 switches and a turning triangle at the Medvezhyegorsk station with a length of 2100 meters, a bridge 10.5 m long was built [1] .

In 1944 he participated in the liberation of Medvezhyegorsk , Petrozavodsk .

After the end of hostilities in the north, he did not take part in the battles, he was stationed there. Apparently, he was involved in some actions related to the fighting in the Arctic in December 1944 - January 1945 .
