Adam Bargelsky ( Polish Adam Bargielski, 7.01.1903, in Kalinow , Poland - September 8, 1942 in Dachau ) - blessed Roman Catholic Church , priest , martyr . He is among 108 blessed Polish martyrs who were beatified by Pope John Paul II during his visit to Warsaw on June 13, 1999 .

Biography

He graduated from the seminary in Lomza . February 24, 1929 was ordained a priest . He served as a vicar in various Catholic parishes .

On April 9, 1940, he applied to the Gestapo with a request to visit the arrested 83-year-old rector Clemens Savitsky , was detained and taken to the Dachau concentration camp , where he died on September 8, 1942 at the hands of a security guard. Its registration number is 22061.

Praise

On June 13, 1999, he was beatified by Pope John Paul II along with other Polish martyrs of World War II.
