Geographical position
The village of Novaya Nikolaevka is located on the right bank of the Britai River, the channel of which is partially used for the Dnieper-Donbass canal , in the east there are 2 lakes, on the opposite bank is the village of Staraya Semenovka , in the west 2 km is the village of Mechebilovo . Nearby is the T-2109 highway.
History
- 1927 is the official date of the foundation of the village, although there is a map from 1875 on which there is the village of Novo-Nikolaevka [1] .

- Mass grave of Soviet soldiers and a memorial sign to fellow countrymen. 56 soldiers were buried.
- Ornithological reserve of local significance "Britai" ( Ukrainian Britai ). Area 158.0 ha. Wetlands on the right-bank floodplain of the Britai River are characterized by significant avifaunistic diversity. The reserve includes hydrophilic, meadow, and steppe ornithocomplexes with a chain of rare species listed in the European Red List , the Red Book of Ukraine , and the Red List of the Kharkiv Region . The territory of the reserve is an important stopping place for resting and feeding during the migration of birds of the wetland complex ( geese , swans , ducks , storks , shepherdesses , herons , martins , grunts , waders ) in the steppe zone of Kharkiv region.
