Moluccan pitta [1] ( lat. Pitta moluccensis ) is a bird from the pitta genus of the pitta family.

Appearance
Body length reaches 18 centimeters. The belly is colored orange, the head is brown with darker stripes at eye level. The back is green with blue forearms and black and white wings.
Distribution
It is found in South and Southeast Asia ( Brunei , Vietnam , Hong Kong , India , Indonesia , Cambodia , China , Laos , Malaysia , Myanmar , Singapore , Thailand ), as well as in Australia .
Natural habitats include tropical and subtropical humid low-lying forests. Nests are built on the ground from stems, moss and leaves. The incubation period for eggs is 14 days.
