Biography
Aznar II Galindes was the only child of Count Aragon Galindo I Asnares , whom he inherited in 867 . Almost nothing is known about the reign of Count Asnar. Modern historians consider a small amount of information about this period in the history of Aragon to be a consequence of the policy of Count Asnar II, aimed at maintaining peaceful relations with neighboring rulers.
The only reliable evidence of Count Asnar Galindes is information about his family, cited in the genealogies of the " Code of Birth ". According to these data, Count Aznar II was married to Onek, daughter of King Pamplona Garcia I Iniges . Children from this marriage were:
- Galindo II Asnares (died 922 ) - the last Earl of Aragon (893–922) from the Galindes dynasty
- Garcia
- Sancha - wife of Waleski Muhammad al-Tawil
- Urraca is the first wife of King of Navarre, Sancho I Garces .
