Club career
He started playing in the German club " Ditzingen ", and then moved to his homeland and played in the " Marsonia ". In 2005, he moved to Zagreb , where he spoke for two years.
Dynamo (Zagreb)
In 2007, he received an offer to move to Dynamo to replace Eduardo da Silva, who left for Arsenal . The transfer amount was 1.3 million euros. Mandzhukich played on the move, in the Dynamo squad in the qualifying match of the UEFA Cup against Ajax scored two crucial goals. Interest was shown to him: “ Miner ” [2] , “ Manchester City ” [3] and other famous European clubs.
In the 2008/09 season, he became the top scorer in the Croatian Championship , scoring 13 goals in 23 games. In the final of the UEFA Champions League 2012/13 opened the scoring in the match at the sixtieth minute. Mandžukić is the best footballer of the year in Croatia in 2012 and 2013 [4] .
Wolfsburg
July 14, 2010 moved to " Wolfsburg " for 7 million euros [5] . The first goal for Wolfsburg scored on March 12, 2011 in a match against Nürnberg . In the first half of the 2010/11 season , he played regularly, but mostly started the matches on the bench, already changing the main team players during the match. Mandzhukich was used by Steve McClaren , who at that time was the head coach of the club, as a left winger , for the coach preferred the game scheme with only one striker , preferring Edina Dzeko . However, after Jacko’s departure at Manchester City in January 2011, Mandžukić began to be more often used precisely as a center forward. In the second season in the club Mandzhukich became a player in the main team and received the title of the club's top scorer, scoring 12 goals. In total, in two years at Wolfsburg, he scored 20 goals in 56 matches [6] .
Bavaria
June 27, 2012 Mandzhukich moved to Bayern Munich for 13 million euros [7] . In the new club Mandzhukich took number 9 [8] .
Mandzhukich is not the best remembered in the match of the 12th round of the Bundesliga with " Nuremberg ". After hitting the opponents' goal, the Croatian player ran to the podium of the fans of “Bavaria” and threw up his hand in the “ Roman salute ”, which immediately attracted the attention of the entire European public. In the west, Mandjukic was immediately accused of propagating neo-Nazism, while Serbian media reasonably saw Mario’s gesture as a jubilant reaction to the justification by the Hague tribunal of two Croatian generals Ante Gotovina and Mladen Markacs , who were accused of ethnic cleansing of Serbs during the 1991-1995 war in Yugoslavia. A version of the latter takes place, especially given that Mandzhukich in his “saluting” was supported by the image of a military salute by Bavaria partner Jerdan Shakiri , an ethnic Kosovo Albanian who plays for Switzerland. In the end, Mario had to justify himself and declare that he was misunderstood. [9] .
The first trophy of Mandzhukich became the Super Cup of Germany 2012 , Bayern played against Borussia Dortmund. In the first match in the Bundesliga, Mandzhukic scored his first goal against Greuther Furth . "Bavaria" made it to the Champions League final, and this was the first time the German final against Borussia, Mandzhukich opened the score, for which it was the third goal in the tournament. But Gundogan , who played for Borussia, equalized the score from the penalty spot, and in the last minutes team-mate Robben scored a goal, and as a result, Bayern won. This season his team won four trophies per season. On August 30, 2013, Bayern won the UEFA Super Cup in a match against Chelsea.
Atletico Madrid
Mandzhukic moved to Atletico Madrid on July 10, 2014, signing a four-year contract with the club [10] . On July 24, Mandzhukic was presented to Atletico Madrid fans on Vicente Calderon , wearing a ninth shirt [11] [12] .
Mandzhukich made his debut for the new club on August 19 in the Spanish Supercup 2014 match against Real Madrid , having played 78 minutes in this match before being replaced by Raul Jimenez [13] . The Croat scored the first goal for Atletico on August 30, 2014 in a match against Eibar [14] . In total, Mandzhukich scored 20 goals in 43 matches for the club in the 2014/15 season , which was his only team in the Madrid club, and secured the title of hardworking and proven scorer [15] [16] .
Juventus
In June 2015 Mandzhukich fell into the sphere of interest of the Italian “ Juventus ”, who was looking for a replacement for the Argentinean Carlos Tevez [17] . On June 21, Mario arrived in Turin to undergo a medical examination [18] , and the next day he signed a four-year contract with Juventus [19] . The transfer amount was 19 million euros and was paid in three stages [19] . In the 2016/17 season, Mandzhukic began to play the position of a left winger instead of his usual striker , but this did not prevent him from showing a good game in a new place.
In the Champions League final of that season, Croat scored the only goal of the Turintsev, sending the ball into the goal from the corner of the penalty kick through himself. Later this moment was recognized as the best goal of the 2016/17 season by UEFA version [20] .
On October 31, 2017, in the Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon , Mandzhukic played in his 100th match for Juventus [21] [22] .

In the final match with the French team, he first cut the ball into his own net, and then, taking advantage of the mistake of the French goalkeeper, scored a goal against his opponent.
