Gundivindi ( Gondivindi , English Goondiwindi / ɡʌndəˈwɪndi /) is a city in the southeastern part of the Australian state of Queensland , the center of the eponymous district of local government . According to estimates, the population of the city for 2006 was approximately 5.6 thousand people, [1] and the population of the entire district was 11 thousand people ( 2008 ). [2] The nearest major city is Brisbane (located 300 kilometers in the northeast).
