Israeli Prison Administration , Shabbat ( Hebrew שירות בתי הסוהר , Cherut Batey Hashar ) is the authority of the State of Israel in charge of prisons and prisons. He stood out from the Israeli Police in 1949.

History
Prison management grew out of a department in the headquarters of the Israel Police established in 1948. Today, around 21,300 prisoners are under the supervision of Shabas, and its staff has 6,800 employees, including girls serving in the civil service (“leumi”) and soldiers deployed from the IDF police.
Since the beginning of the 21st century, a long-term development program has been operating in Shabas, aimed at improving the conditions of prisoners; increasing the level of personnel; suppression of criminal activity of prisoners; increasing the level of safety and security in prisons and introducing new technologies into its work (including biometric monitoring).
