Alamedin - a river in the Alamudun district of Kyrgyzstan , the left tributary of the Chu River. The length is 78 km, the basin area is 317 km², the average water consumption is 6.36 m³ / s, the maximum is 300 m³ / s, and the minimum is 0.74 m³ / s.

It originates from the Alamedin glacier in the northern slope of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too . In the upper part - the current is rapid, runs through a narrow mountain gorge. At the entrance to the Chuy valley, the channel expands and shallows. Through the city of Bishkek flows from south to north.
In the river basin there are 22 small lakes with a total area of 0.8 km² and 53 glaciers with an area of 74.2 km².
High water in summer (May-September), low water - in winter. It has 33 tributaries, all minor, the largest of them is Chunkurchak (19 km).
At the exit from the Alamedin gorge to the Chuy valley (near the village of Kok-Dzhar), water dismantling is built.
On the banks of the river are the villages of Kok-Dzhar, Tash-Moinok, Besh-Kungei, Alamedin.
River water is widely used for irrigation .
