History
Early History
The first wooden church in the village of Golyanovo was built in the 60s of the XVII century. At that time, the village was the estate of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich Romanov .
Beginning in 1811, Golyanovo was already listed for Prince I.N. Trubetskoy, who also owned the neighboring villages of Abramtsevo, Lukino, Sukovo and the former palace village - Nikolskoye. In 1842 , instead of a wooden church, the landowners Trubetskoys built a new brick church in the Empire style - late classicism. The church consisted of two parts - the cold part of the church (four with a throne in honor of the Monks Zosima and Savvatiy of Solovetsky), and the winter chapel - the refectory of the church, with the throne in honor of the holy martyrs Adrian and Natalia. Where the Altar of the Living Source is now located, a living key flowed [1] . In 1889, the temple building was rebuilt according to the project of architect V. F. Baranov [2] .
Soviet period
In the 30s of the XX century, the temple was closed, and the premises were given for a pasta factory. The new owners dismantled the dome of the bell tower and began to use it instead of the factory chimney. Slag was not taken out of the furnaces, but dumped directly on the territory. For a long time, one of the tenants of the temple was a chemical laboratory. As a result of the storage and use of chemicals inside the building, not only the plaster was not preserved, but the brick in the lower part of the walls was also damaged. As a result, by the 90s of the XX century, the building was in terrible condition [3] . There was no dome, the altar apse was dilapidated, a funnel gaped in the quadruple instead of the floor, the bell tower was on the verge of collapse [4] . On the south and east sides of the temple were huge mountains of garbage that were superior in height to the roof. Despite all this, the temple building was still the only valuable building in the first quarter of the 19th century in Golyanovo [1] .
Temple Restoration
After 75 years of inaction, the church was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church . The temple was reopened with the blessing of Patriarch Pimen on March 31, 1990 , under the rector Archpriest Vladimir Timakov. From this time, the process of rebuilding the temple began.
The interior of the temple was painted in the style of frescoes of the XVII century. Most of the work was done by hereditary masters - Bryagins (Evdokia Trofimovna and her daughter Tatyana Aleksandrovna Soloimskaya). The dome and the quadrangle (the main and central part of the church) began to be painted by isographer Nikolai Gusev , who, by the general admission of artists, is one of the leading experts in the field of ancient Russian wall painting. After the death of Nikolai Gusev, work was continued by his daughter. As a result, by 2005 all work was completed [1] .
