Scheherazade ( Scheherazade, Shihirazada, Shahrazada ) is the legendary main character of “The Tale of King Shahriyar and His Brother”, bordering the Persian fairy tale cycle “ A Thousand and One Nights ” and serving as a connecting thread between other stories.

Scheherazade, the eldest daughter of the royal vizier , a girl of rare beauty and remarkable mind, volunteered to free the people from the consequences of unsuccessful marriage of Shakhriyar killed her).
After asking for the royal bedchamber as another victim's wife, Scheherazade used all her eloquence, telling the king of the fairy tale before the sun rose (which, not without intent, attacked the most interesting place of the story). Curiosity in Shahriyar outweighed blood-thirstiness every time, and he gave Scheherezadeh a reprieve until the next night, wanting to hear the end of the tale, but the next night everything repeated. Thus, the sly girl pulled time long enough, until common sense returned to Shakhriyar and he refused to mass extermination of women.
