Biography
He began his service in 1671 as a cornet in the regiment of Volmar Wrangel in Pomerania , participated in the war against Brandenburg and Denmark over Skane , in 1679 he became lieutenant of the Drabant , in 1693 he was enrolled in the hereditary Swedish nobility .
In 1700 - Colonel of the Smolanda Cavalry Regiment, participated in the landing on about. Zealand , named major general , then fought on the Dvina (1701) , under Klishev (1702) and Punice (1703) .
Since 1704 - Lieutenant General of the cavalry. In the campaign of 1705, he successfully acted against General Paykul at Rakovitsa (also known as the battle of Warsaw) , in 1706 he was elevated to baronial dignity, from May 15, 1707 - state adviser and president of the Gotland Hofgericht , since 1709 - count .
Since October 12, 1709 - the Governor-General of Estonia , after the fall of Vyborg in 1710 he replaced G. Liebecker as commander-in-chief of the Swedish army in Finland, he was named general-general .
He died on January 12, 1712.
He owned the estates of Jülfors ( Swede. Djulfors ) of the parish of Stora Malms in Södermanland and Köndes ( Est. Tõdva-Kõnnu ) in Estonia. He was married three times. [one]
