The steam locomotive K ( K Olomensky , nickname - Cuckoo ) is a Russian passenger locomotive , which was produced from 1907 to 1914 . Factory type 114. It was created by the engineers of the Kolomna plant, E. E. Noltein and K. N. Sushkin to replace steam locomotives of the Z and Z series. It is the first Russian locomotive at which the firebox was carried over the frame (but remained between the driving wheels).

In 1911, the production of its enhanced version, K v . It was a powerful and reliable locomotive that was used for driving express trains. In connection with the advent of a more powerful and reliable locomotive of the C series , the locomotives of the K were transferred to the commuter traffic .
