Career
Club
He began his professional career in 1992 at the Rijeka club, which he played until 1998, having spent 134 matches during this time and scoring 5 goals against opponents. In 1998 he moved to Zagreb Dynamo , for which he played for three seasons, having spent 64 matches during that time, scoring 1 goal and becoming, together with the team, twice champion of Croatia , once vice-champion and once winner of the Country Cup . In 2001, he moved to Austria, to the HAC club, in which he played until 2005, played 133 matches, scored 4 goals and became, as part of the team, once the champion of Austria , twice the winner of the Cup and once the winner of the country's Super Cup . In 2005, he moved to the Austrian Vienna, which included 2 seasons, played 29 matches in which he scored 2 goals, won the championship for the second time in his career and the Austrian Cup twice more. In May 2007 he moved to another Vienna club Rapid , in which he became the champion of Austria for the third time in 2008.
Team
As part of the main national team of Croatia, he made his debut on September 5, 1998 in the qualifying match for the 2000 European Championship against the national team of Ireland . He completed his appearances in the national team in 2006, having spent 28 matches in all this time. [2] It was considered a “ reserve team ”, entering the field only in those cases when one of the main defenders was injured. [3] As part of the national team, he participated in the 2004 European Championship and the 2006 World Championship , however, he did not play a single game in the final tournaments.
