Francisco Aramburu ( French: Francisco Aramburu ; January 7, 1922 [1] , Uruguayana , Rio Grande do Sul - October 1, 1997 , Rio de Janeiro ), better known as Chicot ( port Chico ) - Brazilian footballer . Career
Chicot began his career at the Ferrocarril home club, then he played for Gremio for two seasons. In 1943, Chicago moved to the club " Vasco da Gama ", for which he played until the end of his career, winning with the club 5 Rio championships and one Libertadores Cup .
For the Brazilian national team Chicago spent 21 matches (12 wins, 3 draws and 6 losses), scoring 8 goals. In one of his first matches for the national team, Chicot won the Rock Cup in 1945, and a year later he participated in the South American Championship in 1946, where the Brazilians finished second, and Chicot scored two goals. The last match against the hosts of the championship of the Argentines was to identify the winner of the championship, the meeting was very fierce, several times the fights on the field even had to be separated with the help of the police, who “did not stand on ceremony” with the guests, in particular, Chicot became one of the most affected. blows [3] .
In 1950, Chicot as a member of the national team, went to the World Championship , becoming one of 6 Vasco players who went to the world championship, in which he played 4 matches [4] , including the decisive one , in which the Brazilians lost 1: 2 to Uruguay , in him, Chicot could level the score, striking with Ademir's pass with his head, but the goalkeeper of Maspoli of Uruguayans saved his team. This match was the last for Chicot in a national team shirt.
