Description
ДВСШ-16 is a modernization of the previously developed self-propelled chassis ДСШ-14 , which differs from it by a new, more powerful engine. A dual-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine with a capacity of 16 hp is installed on the DVSSh-16. The engine is started using an electric starter.
The DVSSh-16 layout is standard for self-propelled chassis - the engine is located behind the driver's seat, the frame is forward and is designed for various mounted units. This design provides a convenient overview in the process of working in agriculture. The tractor driver’s workplace is open; there is no cab or canopy. To reduce the speed of movement, a creeper is used.
DVSSh-16 was produced by the Kharkov plant of self-propelled tractor chassis from 1956 to 1961. The total number of manufactured self-propelled chassis ДСШ-14 and ДВСШ-16 is 23,100 pieces.
