About enterprise
Brest Electric Lamp Plant OJSC is the only one in the Republic of Belarus and one of the largest manufacturers of special and general purpose incandescent lamps. The plant was created in 1966 under the influence of the following reasons. In the early sixties of the 20th century, a continuous electrification program began to be implemented in the former USSR . In the same years, housing construction began to actively develop. Under the influence of increased demand for lamps, Decree of the All-Union Council of the National Economy (VSNH) of the USSR N 3 of 01/08/1965 and Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR N 209 of 03/15/1965, on the basis of the construction of the Brest plant Elektrostanok started in 1962, it is planned to build an electric lamp factory. In August 1966, the first light bulb was released, and in September the plant began to produce products.
Currently, the plant specializes mainly in the manufacture of electric incandescent lamps, including: general-purpose lamps, automotive, halogen, miniature, compact energy-saving lamps, as well as sodium, mercury and high-pressure metal halide lamps for street lighting and for greenhouses.
The products are used in various industries, automobile, railway, air and water transport, as well as for lighting residential, public and industrial buildings.
The high quality of manufactured products and the assignment to most automotive lamps of the international mark of conformity E2, homologated in France , and E22 in Russia , is confirmed by steady demand in the market.
Since 1998, the plant has been operating according to the ISO-9001 International Quality System.
The product range is constantly expanding and updating.
Type of production - mass - the plant consists of five main workshops and 8 auxiliary. The operating mode of the main workshops is two-shift, with the exception of glass, where there is a continuous technological cycle.
The main consumers of the plant's products are the Russian Federation , the Republic of Belarus , Ukraine , the Baltic states .
In January 2018, Ukraine completed an anti-dumping investigation into the export of light bulbs up to 200 W from Belarus and imposed an anti-dumping duty of 17.73% on the products of the Brest Electric Lamp Plant, the only manufacturer of these products in the country. [2]

The plant produces general-purpose incandescent lamps, decorative lamps, lamps for various purposes, special-purpose lamps, car lamps , railway lamps, energy-saving lamps , sodium street lamps , mercury vapor lamps DRL / DRV, metal halide lamps DRI with ceramic burners, fluorescent lamps, various products made of glass , including glass tubes made of lead-free glass.
