History
Mini-football club "New Generation" was founded in 2006. Already in their first season, the Syktyvkar team took second place in the final tournament of the First League and managed to break into the Major League . Syktyvkar team finished the seasons 2007/08 and 2008/09 on the 8th and 7th places, respectively, having failed to get into the playoffs, where a ticket to the Super League was played. However, due to the expansion of the Super League from the 2009/10 season, “New Generation” received the right to participate in the strongest division of Russian mini-football.
In their first season in the Super League, the Syktyvkars took last place, gaining only 4 points. In the course of the next season (2010/11), they were headed by a well-known ex-player of the Russian national football team Vadim Yashin , and several famous football players also joined the team. Although “New Generation” again finished the championship in last place, gaining 6 points, this time its players showed a more confident game and several times took points from the leaders of Russian futsal.
A real breakthrough in the development of the team occurred in the 2013/2014 season, when the local coach Mikhail Bezruk stood at the helm of the club. In a dramatic match, “New Generation” knocked out Mytishchi from the race for a place in the playoffs, and then, in the quarterfinal series, sensationally defeated the current champion of the country, Dynamo (in three games in a row), and reached the semi-finals for the first time in their history , where in the series she lost to the Ugra Gazprom-Ugra. Wards of Mikhail Bezruk could not compete for the bronze of the championship, giving way to Novosibirsk Sibiryak in third place.
